About the Blogger

Jen. Washington state.

I actually like all kinds of books. I grew up on Baby-Sitters Club, Boxcar Children, and Goosebumps (quite the variety!), and graduated to Christopher Pike, then Stephen King. I narrowed my reading down to horror for a while, then broadened back up, especially once I discovered book blogs (but post-college–I actually took a course wherein I had to write a “professional” book review, and it was a pain in the butt because I had to be “positive” about the book, and I’d hated the book). This was all, of course, before I started my own book blog.

Since then I’ve become quite open to other types of books. I’ve become more selective, and I definitely spend a lot of time reading other blogs. You can find a small list of the ones I visit frequently on the right.

I have a toddler running around, so my days are pretty filled, between keeping up with him and doing other things. If I’m not reading or playing with the baby, I’m probably playing video games (I’m attempting to play Elder Scrolls IV and Mass Effect, but game controls are so sticky for me. I’m addicted to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, as well as the Fable series) or watching TV (my tastes change often, but I’m a stickler for Doctor Who, as well as pretty much anything Joss Whedon. Supernatural has been added to that list recently, as well as a few others).

I’m working on creating a list for a new project I’m considering undertaking here at Before Midnight. Also, I plan on purchasing my own domain name (let’s get rid of that wordpress address, shall we?) as well as doing some major upgrades so I can actually do a lot more than what I do now. Code wise and all that. I’d much prefer to be able to do my own CSS and stuff.
